ENROLMENT 2024
Currently accepting new enrolments from male voices only for September 2024, as we currently full with a waiting list for our Soprano and Alto groups. The award winning Rolling Tones Adult Rock Choir is open for singers over 18 only. No experience is necessary, as full training will be provided and there is no audition (happy days!), however, a sense of fun is essential! Repertoire consists of Queen, Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Aslan, Tina Turner, etc. and all styles including rock music, pop music, musical theatre, gospel singing and folk! Performances at various events throughout the year including a choir trip, summer showcase and Christmas events. Our wonderful choir members hail from Castleconnell, Lisnagry, Annacotty, Castletroy, Newport, Nenagh, Limerick City and some from as far as Cahir, Co. Tipperary and Elton, Co. Limerick. On of our highlights this Christmas was performing at Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention's 'Light Up Christmas' event along the River Shannon, which included singing harmonies for Limerick band, Kingfishr. We were delighted to be presented with an award from LTSP. In October 2023, the choir travelled to Edinburgh, Scotland, to collaborate with their friends from Thistle Do Nicely Choir at a concert in Edinburgh City and we were delighted to host the choir in County Limerick in May 2024. We also participate in team building workshops such a 'Drum Circle Workshop' with Dave Morrissey from Groovy Hands, 'Sound Bath Workshop' with Catherine Ryan Therapies, A 'Musical Theatre Movement Workshop' with Jamie Hickey, and a 'Movement and Vocal Care Workshop' with Kerry Hurley from The Singing Studio. We are currently preparing for our Annual Christmas Show on December 14th 2024, in Castleconnell Parish Hall, County Limerick. And we plan on continuing our travels next year! |

The Rolling Tones is an adult rock choir based in County Limerick and directed by Kerry Jane Hurley, owner of The Singing Studio. Despite the recent Covid-19 Lockdown Ireland restrictions, The Rolling Tones are still managing to rehearse online via Zoom and as a virtual choir have been busy recording videos singing uplifting songs with positive messages which have been uploaded on social media via their Facebook page. They have been featured in the media several times during this time as a result of their hard work and dedication producing these recordings.
Their first recording during lockdown was Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now' which received such tremendous feedback from the public so they decided to keep them coming!
They then recorded their version of 'Something Inside So Strong' by Labi Siffre as a tribute to all on the Frontline during Covid-19 Lockdown. During this period they also created a tribute to the people of Limerick, a recording of 'Dreams' by The Cranberries.
Thank you to everyone for your Facebook donations to Temple Street Children's Hospital for whom we have raised over €1000 to date.
The Rolling Tones are delighted and honoured to be featured with their wonderful friends from Down Syndrome Limerick in their recent video of Count on Me by Bruno Mars promoting awareness and friendship during these challenging times.
Thank you to the Limerick Leader for covering our stories.
Their latest offering is Elbow's 'One Day Like This' - a fantastic tune sharing a message of positivity.
